Trademark Monitoring Services
Discuss trademark monitoring for your brand. Review what is monitored, how findings are reported and which follow-up services may be needed.
Know what is being watched
Begin with the mark you want monitored, the products or services involved and the markets relevant to your business. A monitoring scope should identify its actual sources, search approach and reporting arrangements before you rely on it.
Understand a potential match
Similar wording or other retrieval signals can identify a record worth reviewing. A matching name alone does not establish a legal conflict. Sound, appearance, meaning and the relationship between goods or services can matter.
Reports and follow-up
Agree on how findings are provided and how questions will be handled. Reporting frequency and review arrangements depend on the actual service purchased; do not assume continuous or worldwide coverage.
Monitoring is different from enforcement
An alert organizes information. It does not itself stop a filing or prevent infringement. Any opposition, response, negotiation or enforcement work requires a separate assessment and agreed scope.
Keep renewal needs separate
A monitoring service does not satisfy maintenance obligations. Keep your registration details and use evidence organized, and review any required filings separately.
Request the right scope
Tell us your mark and the activity you want to understand. We can discuss the proposed coverage and fees before you commit. The new-filing complimentary report is a separate preliminary screening offer.
Choose Your Next Step
For general requirements, consult USPTO maintenance guidance and USPTO Madrid Protocol guidance. Your record and agreed service scope control the next step.
