Start with two separate fees
Trademarks Expert currently lists Gold at $149, Platinum at $249, Diamond at $349 and Elite at $449. These are service prices. USPTO government fees are charged separately, and the engagement should identify which preparation, search, review and filing tasks the selected package includes.
A dated government-fee example
Checked September 30, 2026: the USPTO base application fee is $350 per class for a qualifying Section 1 or Section 44 application. A Gold service plus one qualifying class starts at $499; two such classes start at $849. These examples exclude surcharges and later work and are not quotes for every filing basis.
Classes and identifications can change the total
An application covering more than one class creates additional per-class charges. The way goods or services are identified also matters. Current USPTO rules include additional charges for certain incomplete information, free-form identifications and lengthy identifications. Do not treat a broad industry label as a finished identification.
Intent-to-use applications have later steps
An intent-to-use application can require a later allegation of use and may need extension requests. Those filings carry government fees and may involve separate service work. Budget for the relevant stage rather than assuming that the initial application price covers the entire journey.
What the complimentary report changes
An eligible new-filing service includes a preliminary U.S. federal report at no additional report fee. It does not make registration or USPTO charges free. Broader search work, legal opinions and later responses are included only if the written engagement expressly lists them.
Questions to ask before paying
Ask which tasks are included, how many classes the quote assumes, whether additional government charges are expected, who signs and submits the application, and how later work is priced.
